After 1 month of daily use, and over 400 doses put through the Mazzer Mini G, I'm seriously impressed with this product. Not only is the build quality top notch, but you also get a product that produces some of the best grinds i've ever seen.

The Mazzer Mini G is hand made in Venice Italy and it shows. The build quality is impressive and you can tell there is no corners cut to make this product.

With the 64mm Flat Burrs, you get a grind of 2-2.5g/s directly into your portafilter. The grinder is very accurate in weighing the grinds usually within 0.1-0.2g and incredibly clean. I rarely have to clean the fork or the grounds catcher because all the grinds end up in my portafiler.

So, what is NOT great about this grinder? Well, it comes in at a steep $1799 here in the US. That is approximately ~$400 more than the next best grind by weight grinder that i've tested which is the Eureka Atom W 65. Also, the grind adjustment is not the most intuitive. It's difficult to turn the wheel and usually requires using both hands to do it. You also miss out on the technology that some grinders have like the Mahlkonig E64WS which has grind by sync and digital grind adjustments.

Overall, the Mazzer Mini G is an impressive and high quality product that does exactly what you expect a grind by weight grinder to do: produce high quality grinds and weigh them accurately. If you're in the market for a grind by weight grinder, and you have the budget for this - you won't be disappointed.
